[00:00:57] I turned to a buddy named willie I said willie it'll be all right

[00:01:02] If they meant to kill us we'd be half way down to hell

[00:01:06] See they high-jacked a plane in the dessert and the government screamed and cries

[00:01:11] But to save some lives they opened up a prison cell

[00:01:15] So the days kept coming and going tension was getting high

[00:01:20] But I wasn't too worried I figured I knew the score

[00:01:24] I knew they were talking to someone I knew they were willing to try

[00:01:29] So I figured my freedom was a matter of a day or two more

[00:01:33] But jesus early this morning the whirlybird dropped the gas

[00:01:38] It made me puke and it brought me to my knees

[00:01:43] The bullets came like hail-stones I heard the first ones pass

[00:01:47] Then they cut down willie and they got jim kelly and me

[00:01:52] They come in yelling curses like they were caught in the river rhine

[00:01:56] Shot down every god damned thing they saw

[00:02:01] And while I lay they wounded I took another one in my spine

[00:02:06] Poor jim kelly took another one in his jaw

[00:02:10] They say we had our throats cut by a band of desperate men

[00:02:15] They say they saved as many of us as they could

[00:02:19] Well the governor he should now it but I think I'll say it again

[00:02:24] That the governor cut my throat and he cut it good

[00:02:28] Yeah let them take the governor hold him for a couple of days

[00:02:33] See who goes in shooting to set him free

[00:02:36] Hell they'll open every jail in the country they'd send them on their way
