[00:00:56] Where they'd lions and tigers and camels

[00:01:03] There were one great big lion called wallace

[00:01:07] His nose were all covered with scars

[00:01:11] He lay in a som no lent posture

[00:01:14] With the side of his face to the bars

[00:01:18] Now albert had heard about lions

[00:01:21] How they were ferocious and wild

[00:01:25] And to see wallace lying so peaceful

[00:01:28] Well it didn't seem right to the child

[00:01:31] So straight way the brave little feller

[00:01:35] Not showing a morsel of fear

[00:01:38] Took is stick with the orse's ead andle

[00:01:42] And pushed it in wallace's ear

[00:01:45] You could see that the lion didn't like it

[00:01:49] For giving a kind of a roll

[00:01:53] He pulled albert inside the cage with 'im

[00:01:56] And swallowed the little lad whole

[00:02:00] Then pa who had seen the occurrence

[00:02:03] And didn't know what to do next

[00:02:06] Said mother yon lions et albert

[00:02:12] And mother said eeh I am vexed

[00:02:17] So Mr and Mrs ramsbottom

[00:02:19] Quite rightly when all's said and done

[00:02:22] Complained to the animal keeper

[00:02:25] That the lion had eaten their son

[00:02:29] The keeper was quite nice about it

[00:02:32] He said what a nasty mishap

[00:02:36] Are you sure that it's your boy he's eaten

[00:02:40] Pa said am I sure there's his cap

[00:02:45] So the manager had to be sent for

[00:02:48] He came and he said what's to do

[00:02:51] Pa said yon lion's eaten our albert

[00:02:54] And I'm in his sunday clothes too

[00:02:58] Then mother said right's right young feller

[00:03:01] I think it's a shame and a sin

[00:03:04] For a lion to go and eat albert

[00:03:07] The manager wanted no trouble

[00:03:10] He took out his purse right away

[00:03:13] And said how much to settle the matter

[00:03:16] And pa said what do you usually pay

[00:03:20] But mother had turned a bit awkward

[00:03:22] When she thought where her albert had gone

[00:03:25] She said no someone's got to be summonsed

[00:03:29] So that were decided upon

[00:03:33] Round they went to the police station

[00:03:36] In front of a magistrate chap

[00:03:38] They told I'm what happened to albert

[00:03:41] And proved it by showing his cap

[00:03:45] The magistrate gave his opinion

[00:03:48] That no one was really to blame

[00:03:51] He said that he hoped the ramsbottoms

[00:03:54] Would have further sons to their name

[00:03:59] At that mother got proper blazing

[00:04:02] And thank you sir kindly said she

[00:04:05] What waste all our lives raising children

[00:04:09] To feed ruddy lions not me
