[00:00:51] Tween the skunk and the polecat it were

[00:00:54] And as things there below were a trifle so so

[00:00:58] It were glad of a breath of fresh air

[00:01:01] They followed the sound as it went sniffing round

[00:01:05] Til at last they located the leak

[00:01:07] There a small hole in the side about two inches wide

[00:01:10] Where a swordfish had poked in its beak

[00:01:14] And by gum how the wet squirted in through that hole

[00:01:19] Well young she who at sums was expert

[00:01:23] Worked it out on his slate that it came at the rate

[00:01:30] The bloodhound tried hard to keep water in check

[00:01:33] By lapping it up with his tongue

[00:01:42] The poor faithful hound he were very near drowned

[00:01:47] They dragged him away none too soon

[00:01:50] For the stream as it rose pushed its way up his nose

[00:01:53] And blew him up like a balloon

[00:01:56] And then Mrs Noah shoved her elbow in thole

[00:02:00] And said eh it's stopped I believe

[00:02:03] But they found very soon as she'd altered her tune

[00:02:06] Cuz the water had got up her sleeve

[00:02:10] When find her elbow weren't doing much good

[00:02:13] She said to Noah I've an idea

[00:02:17] You sit on the leak and by tend of the week

[00:02:21] There's no knowing the weather may clear

[00:02:25] Noah didn't think much to this notion at all

[00:02:28] But reckoned he'd give it a try

[00:02:30] On the ole down he flopped and the leaking all stopped

[00:02:35] And all except him was quite dry

[00:02:38] They took him his breakfast and dinner and tea

[00:02:42] As day after day there he sat

[00:02:46] Til the storm was all passed and they landed at last

[00:02:49] On top side of mount Ararat

[00:02:53] And that is how Noah got them all safe ashore

[00:02:58] But ever since then strange to tell

[00:03:02] Them as helped save the ark has all carried a mark

[00:03:06] Aye and all their descendants as well

[00:03:10] That's why dog has a cold nose and ladies cold elbows
