《The Legend of Wooley Swamp》歌词

[00:00:00] The Legend of Wooley Swamp - Done Again (又一次乐队)
[00:00:18] If you ever go back into Wooly Swamp
[00:00:21] You better not go at night
[00:00:23] There's things out there
[00:00:24] In the middle of them woods
[00:00:25] That'd make a strong man die from fright
[00:00:28] There's things that crawl and things that fly
[00:00:30] And things that creep around on the ground
[00:00:32] And they say the ghost of Lucias Clay
[00:00:35] Gets up and it walks around
[00:00:37] But I couldn't believe it
[00:00:39] I just had to find out for myself
[00:00:41] And I couldn't conceive it
[00:00:44] Cause I never would listen to nobody else
[00:00:46] No I couldn't believe it
[00:00:49] I just had to find out for myself
[00:00:51] There's somethings in this world
[00:00:53] You just can't explain
[00:00:59] The old man lived in the Wooly Swamp
[00:01:01] Way back in the gurgling woods
[00:01:03] He never did
[00:01:04] Do a lot of harm in the world
[00:01:06] But he never did do no good
[00:01:08] People didn't think too much of him
[00:01:10] They all thought he acted funny
[00:01:12] The old man didn't care about
[00:01:14] People anyway
[00:01:15] All he cared about was his money
[00:01:17] He'd stuff it all down
[00:01:18] In Mason jars
[00:01:20] And he bury it all around
[00:01:22] And on certain nights if the moon was right
[00:01:24] He'd dig it up out of the ground
[00:01:27] He'd pour it all out on the floor of his shack
[00:01:29] And run his fingers through it
[00:01:31] Yeah Lucias Clay was a greedy old man
[00:01:34] And that's all there ever was to it
[00:01:40] But I couldn't believe it
[00:01:43] I just had to find out for myself
[00:01:45] And I couldn't conceive it
[00:01:47] Cause I never would listen to nobody else
[00:01:50] No I couldn't believe it
[00:01:52] I just had to find out for myself
[00:01:55] There's somethings in this world
[00:01:57] You just can't explain
[00:02:02] The Crayton boys were white
[00:02:04] Trash they lived over on Parvis Creek
[00:02:07] They were a real snake and sneaky as a cat
[00:02:09] And belligerent when they'd speak
[00:02:11] One night the oldest brother said
[00:02:13] Ya'll meet in the Wooly Swamp later
[00:02:16] And We'll get old Lucias money
[00:02:18] And we'll pitch him to the alligators
[00:02:21] They found the old man out
[00:02:22] In the back with a shovel in his hand
[00:02:26] And thirteen rusty Mason jars
[00:02:28] He just dug up out of the sand
[00:02:30] And they all went crazy
[00:02:32] And they beat the old man
[00:02:33] Then they picked him up
[00:02:34] Off the ground
[00:02:35] Then they threw him in the swamp
[00:02:36] And they stood there and laughed
[00:02:38] Till the black water sucked him down
[00:02:40] Then they turned around
[00:02:41] And went back to the shack
[00:02:42] And they picked up
[00:02:43] The money and ran
[00:02:44] But they hadn't gone nowhere
[00:02:46] When they realized
[00:02:47] They were running in quicksand
[00:02:49] And they struggled
[00:02:50] And screamed but they couldn't get away
[00:02:52] Then just before they were gone
[00:02:54] They could hear that old man laughing
[00:02:56] In a voice that was loud and strong
[00:02:59] Now that's been fifty years ago
[00:03:01] And you go back by there again
[00:03:03] There's a spot in the yard
[00:03:05] In back of that shack
[00:03:06] Where the ground is always wet
[00:03:08] And on certain nights
[00:03:09] If the moon is right
[00:03:10] Down by that dark footpath
[00:03:13] You can hear three young men screaming
[00:03:15] And you can hear that old man laugh
[00:03:18] If you ever go back into Wooly Swamp
[00:03:20] You better not go at night
[00:03:22] There's things out there
[00:03:23] In the middle of them woods
[00:03:24] That'd make a strong man
[00:03:25] Die from fright
[00:03:27] There's things that crawl
[00:03:28] And things that fly
[00:03:29] And things that creep
[00:03:30] Around on the ground
[00:03:32] And they say the ghost of Lucias Clay
[00:03:34] Gets up and it walks around
[00:03:36] But I couldn't believe it
[00:03:38] I just had to find out for myself
[00:03:41] And I couldn't conceive it
[00:03:43] Cause I never would listen to nobody else
[00:03:45] No I couldn't believe it
[00:03:48] I just had to find out for myself
[00:03:50] There's somethings
[00:03:51] In this world you just can't explain
[00:03:55] Somethings
[00:03:56] In this world you just can't explain
