[00:00:42] And got me to where I couldn't eat nothin up like

[00:00:45] And I dropped my big orange drink I did

[00:00:49] Well friends they commenced to move and they wasnt so much

[00:00:53] I could do except to move with em

[00:00:55] Well we commenced to go through all kinds of doors and gates

[00:00:59] And I don't know what all and I looked up over one of em

[00:01:02] And it says north gate and we kept on a-goin through there

[00:01:05] And pretty soon we come up on a young boy

[00:01:08] And he says Ticket please And I says Friend I don't have a ticket

[00:01:13] I don't even know where it is that I'm a-goin I did

[00:01:18] Well he says Come out as quick as you can

[00:01:21] And I says Ill do erIll turn around the first chance I get

[00:01:28] Well we kept on a-movin through there and pretty soon everyone

[00:01:32] Got where it was that they was agoin because they parted

[00:01:35] And I could see pretty good I could

[00:01:39] And what I seen was this whole raft a people a-settin on these

[00:01:44] Two banks and a-lookin at one another acrosst this purty little

[00:01:48] Green cow pasture well they was and somebody had took

[00:01:54] And drawed white lines all over it and drove posts in it and

[00:01:58] I don't know what all And I looked down there and I seen

[00:02:02] Five or six convicts a-runnin up and down and a-blowin whistles

[00:02:06] They was

[00:02:08] And then I looked down there and I seen these pretty girls

[00:02:12] A-wearin these little bitty short dresses and a-dancin around

[00:02:15] An so I set down and thought id see what it was that was

[00:02:19] A-gonna happen I did

[00:02:21] And about the time I got set down good I looked down there

[00:02:25] And I seen thirty or forty men come a-runnin out of one end

[00:02:29] Of a great big outhouse down there they did

[00:02:36] An everybody where I was a-settin got up and hollered

[00:02:40] And about that time thirty or forty come a-runnin out of the

[00:02:43] Other end of that outhouse and the other bank full

[00:02:46] THEY got up and hollered

[00:02:48] An I asked this feller that was a-settin beside me I says

[00:02:52] Friend what is it that they're a-hollerin for

[00:02:54] Well he whopped me on the back and he says

[00:03:00] Well I says I believe I will have another big Orange

[00:03:04] An I got it and set back down

[00:03:11] An when I got back down there again I seen that them men

[00:03:13] Had got in two little bitty bunches down there

[00:03:24] They voted and elected one man apiece

[00:03:27] And them two men come out in the middle of that cow pasture

[00:03:30] And shook hands like they hadnt seen one another in a long time

[00:03:34] And then a convict come over to where they was a-standin an he

[00:03:38] Took out a quarter and they commenced to odd-man right there

[00:03:43] They did

[00:03:45] Well after a while I seen what it was that they was a-odd-mannin for

[00:03:52] It was that both bunches-full of them men wanted this funny-lookin

[00:03:56] Little punkin to play with they did and I know friends that they

[00:04:01] Couldn't-a eat it cause they kicked it the whole evenin

[00:04:04] And it never busted

[00:04:08] But anyhow what I was a-tellin was that both bunches-full wanted

[00:04:12] That thang and one bunch got it an it made the other bunch

[00:04:16] Just as mad as they could be and friends I seen that evenin

[00:04:20] The awfullest fight that id ever seen in my life

[00:04:24] I did They would run at one another and kick one another

[00:04:28] And throw one another down and stomp on one another

[00:04:31] And grind their feet in one another and I don't know what all

[00:04:34] And just as fast as one would get hurt theyd tote him off

[00:04:37] And run anothern on

[00:04:46] Well they done that as long as I set there but pretty soon

[00:04:52] This boy that had said ticket please he come up to me and

[00:04:56] He says friend you're gonna have to leave because it is that

[00:05:00] You don't have a ticket and I says well alright an I got up

[00:05:04] An left an I don't know friends until this day what it was that they

[00:05:09] Was a-doin down there but I have studied about it and I think its

[00:05:13] Some kindly of a contest where they see which bunch-full of them

[00:05:17] Men can take that punkin an run from one end of that cow pasture

[00:05:22] To the othern without either gettin knocked down
