[00:00:43] Now jake had been around in life

[00:00:44] And done his share of roamin'

[00:00:46] But when he saw heaven

[00:00:47] He was shocked it look just like wyomin'

[00:00:51] Of all the saints in heaven

[00:00:53] His favorite was st peter

[00:00:56] Now this line it ain't needed

[00:00:57] But it helps with rhyme and meter

[00:00:59] So they set and talked a minute or two

[00:01:01] Or maybe it was three

[00:01:02] Nobody was keepin' score

[00:01:04] In heaven time is free

[00:01:06] I've always heard jake said to pete

[00:01:08] That god will answer prayers

[00:01:11] But one time I asked for help

[00:01:13] Well he just plain wasn't there

[00:01:15] Does god answer prayers of some

[00:01:17] And ignores the prayers of others

[00:01:19] That don't seem exactly square

[00:01:21] I know all men are brothers

[00:01:23] Or does he randomly reply

[00:01:25] Without good rhyme or reason

[00:01:27] Maybe it's the time of day

[00:01:28] The weather or the season

[00:01:31] Now I ain't trying to act smart

[00:01:32] It's just the way I feel

[00:01:33] And I was wonderin' could you tell me

[00:01:36] What the heck's the deal

[00:01:39] Peter listened very patiently

[00:01:40] And when jake was done

[00:01:42] There were smiles of recognition

[00:01:44] And he said so you're the one

[00:01:47] That day your truck it wouldn't start

[00:01:49] And you sent your prayer a flying

[00:01:51] You gave us all a real bad time

[00:01:53] With hundreds of us a trying

[00:01:55] A thousand angels rushed to check

[00:01:57] The status of your file

[00:01:59] But you know jake we hadn't heard

[00:02:02] From you in quite a long a long while

[00:02:05] And though all prayers are answered

[00:02:10] He didn't recognize your voice

[00:02:12] And started a truck in mile soda
