[00:00:57] It was a Saturday evening if I remember it right

[00:00:59] And we had just gotten back off tour last night

[00:01:02] So the gang and I thought that it would be groovy

[00:01:05] If we summoned up the posse and dumb rush the movies

[00:01:08] I got Angie Jeff got Tina

[00:01:11] Ready rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life

[00:01:14] That was all right though 'cause the lady was chill

[00:01:16] Then we dipped to the theater set to ill

[00:01:20] We saw elm street and man it was def

[00:01:22] And everything seemed all right when we left

[00:01:25] But when I got home and laid down to sleep

[00:01:28] That began the nightmare but on my street

[00:01:42] It was burning in my room like an oven

[00:01:45] My bed soaked with sweat and man I was buggin'

[00:01:47] I checked the clock and it stopped at 12:30

[00:01:50] It had melted it was so darn hot and I was thirsty

[00:01:53] I went downstairs to grab some juice or a coke

[00:01:55] Flipped the TV off and then I almost choked

[00:01:58] When I heard this awful voice comin' from behind

[00:02:01] It said you turned off David Letterman now you must die

[00:02:04] Man I ain't even wait to see who it was

[00:02:07] Broke outside in my drawers and screamed so long cuz

[00:02:10] Got halfway up the block I calmed down and stopped screaming

[00:02:13] Then thought oh I get it I must be dreaming

[00:02:15] I strolled back home with a grin on my grill

[00:02:18] I figured since this is a dream I might as well get ill

[00:02:21] I walked in the house the big bad Fresh Prince

[00:02:24] But Freddy killed all that noise real quick

[00:02:27] He grabbed me by my neck and said here's what we'll do

[00:03:17] He jumped on my bed ripped through the covers with his claws

[00:03:20] Tried to get me but my alarm went off

[00:03:22] And then silence it was a whole new day

[00:03:25] I thought huh I wasn't scared of him anyway

[00:03:29] Until I noticed those rips in my sheets

[00:03:31] And that was proof that there had been a nightmare on my street
