[00:00:53] One unhappy day came the duckling

[00:00:57] Though his egg had been faithfully warmed

[00:01:01] He was so much larger than average

[00:01:05] He could best be described as deformed

[00:01:08] He was much too gray and too fluffy

[00:01:12] As the other ducks loudly opined

[00:01:16] When he cried they said:

[00:01:18] "don't get huffy

[00:01:19] You can keep on living we don't mind

[00:01:23] It's just that you're so ugly "

[00:01:31] So he left early in the morning

[00:01:35] But he found wherever he would roam

[00:01:39] That despite some changes in the sceenry

[00:01:43] Everyone was as vile as at home

[00:01:47] As he settled in for the winter

[00:01:50] Overhead flew a flock of such birds

[00:01:54] That his vision stuck like a spinter

[00:01:58] They were all too beautiful for words

[00:02:02] That winter it was freezing

[00:02:10] I can't tell you how much he suffered

[00:02:22] His poor feet were frozen in the ice

[00:02:25] When it snowed again he was buried

[00:02:29] Then it snowed some more over his head

[00:02:33] There he sat too cold to be worried

[00:02:36] Truth to tell he just thought he was dead

[00:02:41] He didn't mind that one bit

[00:02:48] But the spring was here and a thaw came

[00:02:52] Our half-dead little hero survived

[00:02:56] And the daffodil and the crocus

[00:02:59] Sang aloud: "one more spring has arrived "

[00:03:03] And the lovely birds gathered round him

[00:03:07] He was nuzzled and doted upon

[00:03:10] Then he knew his family had found him

[00:03:14] He'd become the most beautiful swan
