[00:00:10] Wissahickon serves as a model for other suburban schools

[00:00:13] However it is not problem free

[00:00:15] Despite my pride love in wissahickon highschool I worry

[00:00:18] About it

[00:00:19] While attending I noticed that wissahickon is suffering from a

[00:00:22] Problem that is hurting children teenagers from all areas

[00:00:25] Of our country

[00:00:26] Students at wissahickon have problems with their mental health status

[00:00:30] A member of wissahickons class of 2001 who was an

[00:00:33] Honour student and a star on our girls track

[00:00:36] Field team committed suicide in her dorm room during her

[00:00:39] Freshman year

[00:00:40] Depression is an isolating desease

[00:00:42] 19 of teenagers have admitted to suicidal thougts

[00:00:45] 8 have attempted suicide

[00:00:47] It is the 3rd 'cause of death among teenagers following

[00:00:49] Only car accidents homicide

[00:00:51] Suicide solution society contribution

[00:02:35] However suicide kills 1600 teengers each year

[00:02:39] Depression is a silent epidemic among teenagers

[00:02:43] It is the 3rd 'cause of death among teenagers following

[00:02:46] Only car accidents homicide

[00:02:49] With numbers like these and with stories of graduates leaving

[00:02:52] Only to committ suicide less than a year later it

[00:02:55] Can be dead mental if depression becomes too much
