[00:00:16] As knock about clowns quick change comedians

[00:00:19] Tight rope walkers and acrobats

[00:00:21] We had an extensive reputation

[00:00:24] We make our home in Victoria Grove

[00:00:27] This is merely our center of operation

[00:00:30] For we are incurably given to rove

[00:00:37] We are very well known in Cornwall Gardens

[00:00:40] In Launceston place

[00:00:42] And in Kensington Square

[00:00:43] We have really a little more reputation

[00:00:46] Than a couple of cats can very well bear

[00:00:53] If the area window is found a jar

[00:00:56] And the basement looks like a field of war

[00:00:59] If a tile or two comes loose on the roof

[00:01:02] Which presently fails to be waterproof

[00:01:04] If the drawers were pulled out from the bedroom chests

[00:01:07] And you couldn't find one of your winter vests

[00:01:10] If after supper one of the girls

[00:01:13] Suddenly missed her Woolworth pearls

[00:01:16] The family would say it's that horrible cat

[00:01:21] Was it Mungojerrie or Rumpelteazer

[00:01:28] And most of the time they leave it at that

[00:01:41] Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer

[00:01:44] Have a very unusual gift of the gab

[00:01:47] We are highly efficient cat burglars as well

[00:01:49] And remarkably smart at a smash and grab

[00:01:52] We make our home in Victoria Grove

[00:01:55] We have no regular occupation

[00:01:57] We are plausible fellows who like to engage

[00:02:00] A friendly policeman in conversation

[00:02:07] When the family assembles for Sunday dinner

[00:02:10] With their minds made up that they wouldn't get thinner

[00:02:13] On Argentine joint potatoes and greens

[00:02:15] Then the cook will appear from behind the scenes

[00:02:18] And say in a voice that was broken with sorrow

[00:02:21] I'm afraid you must wait and have dinner tomorrow

[00:02:23] The joint has gone from the oven like that

[00:02:38] And most of the time they left it at that

[00:02:43] Have a wonderful way of working together

[00:02:46] And some of the time you would say it was luck

[00:02:49] And some of the time you would say it was weather

[00:02:51] We go through the house like a hurricane

[00:02:54] And no sober person could take his oath

[00:02:56] Was it Mungojerrie or Rumpelteazer

[00:02:59] Or could you have sworn that it mightn't be both

[00:03:02] And when you heard a dining room smash

[00:03:04] Or up from the pantry there came a loud crash

[00:03:07] Or down from the library there came a loud ping

[00:03:10] From a vase which was commonly said to be Ming

[00:03:12] Then the family would say now which was which cat

[00:03:17] It was Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer

[00:03:23] And there's nothing at all to be done about that
