[00:00:31] Hear this all peoples

[00:00:33] Give ear all inhabitants of the world

[00:00:37] Both low and high

[00:00:38] Rich and poor together

[00:00:40] My mouth shall speak wisdom

[00:00:43] The meditation of my heart shall be understanding

[00:00:46] I will incline my ear to a proverb

[00:00:49] I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre

[00:00:53] Why should I fear in times of trouble

[00:00:57] When the iniquity of my persecutors surrounds me

[00:01:02] Men who boast of the wealth

[00:01:04] And boast of the abundance of their riches

[00:01:06] Truly no man can ransom himself

[00:01:10] Or give to God the price of his life

[00:01:13] For the ransom of his life is costly

[00:01:17] And can never suffice

[00:01:18] That he should continue to live on for ever

[00:01:21] And never see the pit

[00:01:24] Yea he shall see that even the wise die

[00:01:29] The fool and the stupid alike must perish

[00:01:33] And leave their wealth to others

[00:01:35] Their graves are their homes for ever

[00:01:38] Their dwelling places to all generations

[00:01:41] Though they named lands their own

[00:01:43] Man cannot abide in his pomp

[00:01:46] He is like the beasts that perish

[00:01:49] This is the fate of those who have foolish confidence

[00:01:55] The end of those who are pleased with their portion

[00:01:58] Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol

[00:02:02] Death shall be their shepherd

[00:02:04] Straight to the grave they descend

[00:02:06] And their form shall waste away

[00:02:08] Sheol be their home

[00:02:11] But God will ransom my soul from the power of Sheol

[00:02:15] For he will receive me

[00:02:19] Be not afraid when one becomes rich

[00:02:22] When the glory of his house increases

[00:02:25] For when he dies he will carry nothing away

[00:02:28] His glory will not go down after him

[00:02:32] Though while he lives he counts himself happy

[00:02:35] And though a man gets praise when he does well for himself

[00:02:40] He will go to the generation of his fathers

[00:02:43] Who will never more see the light

[00:02:46] Man cannot abide in his pomp
